Imaging Services in Jersey City
Getting an x-ray is one of the most frequent imaging services used to help physicians to diagnose several medical conditions. An x-ray is used to detect bone fractures, arthritis, pneumonia, and other conditions. An x-ray takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete the entire process.
The beauty behind an ultrasound image is that the procedure itself is safe, non-invasive, and only involves moving a transducer over the skin. An ultrasound is best used for visualizing soft tissue, and helps physicians detect the cause of pain, swelling, and infection in the body.
Most procedures don’t exceed 30 minutes, and once the image has been captured, the physician will take the next steps to inform you about what is going on. From there, you can return to your normal activities without interruption.
Detecting and diagnosing breast cancer early on is the best way to get in front of it. Mammograms and ultrasounds are often performed for women that suspect they may have breast cancer.
Early detection is the best method in treating the cancer, hopefully reaching remission as soon as possible. If you have a family history of breast cancer, breast density, age, and other risk factors associated, then you may be at risk. It is heavily advised that you receive breast imaging as soon as possible.
